STORY
The firm Pizzolon dates back to 1959 when Angelo Pizzolon set up his first craft workshop, utilising the solid base of experience and knowledge he had already gained first as an apprentice and then as an employee.
It took only one year before Falegnameria Pizzolon Angelo was established and then in 1967 the firm purchased and moved into its first industrial unit. 1982 saw the start of its specialised production of windows, doors and shutters.
In 1983 Pizzolon Angelo became the first company in Italy to organise its production so as to procure the dark red Meranti wood - one of its special products - for its laminated boards directly from Indonesia also involving local workmen in the process.
The high quality of the end product opened up the doors to the North European markets, including Germany. It was in those very same years that the company decided to set up its own agencies to distribute the product and in so doing anticipated by 10 years a system that is common today. In 1993 the company moved to new facilities in Ponzano Veneto (TV), which boasted fully computerised technical and commercial management systems.
Throughout the 2000s decade Pizzolon built up its distribution network on the East European and the USA markets and in 2010 the company celebrated its first 50 years of activity.
Exports currently go to 8 countries thanks to either direct market presence of the company or through well-established partnerships. In July 2011 an important showroom was opened at the company’s headquarters and its range of products was extended with a new window targeted at the "class A" building market.
